Corporations  Under  Ban.

    SALEM, Or., Sept. 30.--(Special.)--The Oregon Telephone Herald Company, a Portland concern which proposed to furnish news over telephone to its patrons, was denied a permit to do business in the state by Corporation Commissioner Watson today. Mr. Watson said that the company had not proved the business would be a safe investment for shareholders.
